About Me
Welcome to my blog, the VA Voice. Let me introduce myself….
My name is Michelle Jamison and I am very proud to say I have been a Virtual Assistant since 1998. I am owner and operator of MJVA & Associates, a multi-VA company that provides clients with a team of talented Virtual Assistants to administratively support them in their business.
I absolutely love what I do! Being a Virtual Assistant has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life (right after being a wife and mother). I have had the opportunity to support some of the most amazing individuals and be a part of their business success. There is nothing more rewarding than watching my clients grow their business into a thriving, successful company and knowing I had some part in it! Really now, who wouldn’t want to share in that experience?
If you can’t tell already, yes I’m a passionate person. I have many different passions in life and being a VA is just one of them.
I’m passionate about….
- The coaching profession. I’ve specialized in working with Professional Coaches for over 10 years. I love this profession! Coaches are some of the best people I know and I admire all that they do for their clients. I currently work for CoachInc.com, the foremost Coach Training School and am proud to hold the position of Director of Student Services. It was only a natural transition that I receive formal training and in 2006 I graduated from the Corporate Coaching Program at Corporate Coach U.
- The VA profession. I am honoured to be a part of one of the most supportive, talented, giving, caring, (and I could go on) professions in the world. For me being a VA isn’t simply what we do, but who we are. I am passionate about ensuring this profession is here for a very long time. In 2002 I founded the Canadian Virtual Assistant Network an organization devoted to supporting new and established VA’s succeed. Now owned by my dear friend Pam Ivey, CVAN is bigger and better than ever!
- Teaching. I have the privilege of teaching at one of the best colleges in Canada. I am currently an instructor for the online Virtual Assistant Certificate Program at Red Deer College in Red Deer, Alberta. I teach three courses for the college; Marketing your VA Business, Starting a VA Business and Office Management for Virtual Businesses. I’m thrilled and honoured to be a part of this wonderful program! I am also a trainer at the Virtual Assistant Training Program another fantastic program where I help Solo VA’s transition into Multi-VA Businesses.
- Mentoring. Utilizing my training from Coach U, I mentor new and established VA’s in taking their business to the next level. I am a Success Partner at CVAN and have also created the MJVA Consulting program which provides Virtual Assistant’s one-on-one mentoring and coaching.
- Writing. I love to write, combine this with my love of the VA profession and you have The Virtual Assistant’s Guide to Marketing and The Virtual Assistant’s Guide to the Multi-VA Business. Two books that I’m happy to say have been very successful!
And most of all
- My family. I could not have pursued any of my passions without the support of my family. I am nothing without them.
The VA Voice is the outlet for all of these passions, in one neat, fun, compact space. Now that you know more about me, I hope you visit regularly and stay in touch!
