Okay I broke it! I don’t know how but I did!
Remember that nifty new digital camera I wrote about in my blog post Memory Keeper. Well unfortunately I no longer have a medium to use for memory keeping. I have to say I have the worst luck when it comes to digital cameras. It doesn’t matter whether I spend $200.00 or $500.00 the outcome always seems to be the same…broken!
The other day my 3 year old daughter was grabbing some mail off the table, and my husband instructed her not to touch. My lovely little girl proceeded to say “No, it’s my email.” She’s definitely her mother’s daughter.
It did give me something to think about though. My daughter will never know a time when there wasn’t email or the internet or Blackberry’s or all the other technology that is at our disposal. I guess it’s the same in terms of me never knowing a time when we didn’t have Television or a telephone. The technology has just shifted that’s all.

I bought my Blackberry Pearl 8120 in November and since then I can say my nickname for it has been my “Crackberry”. It’s an addiction (well to me it is), organizing both family and work schedules, contacts and playing even the odd game while waiting in the Tim Horton’s drive-thru line has become a lifestyle. Keeping up with E-mail that I can reply to instantly while away from my computer, Shhhhhh don’t tell Michelle (she thinks I live at my desk).
I absolutely see the value in Twitter, I do. It’s a great way to stay connected, see what other’s are up to and get some great tips and information in a succinct, direct manner. Love it!
I’ve met some great individuals, found some awesome resources, yet I’m still trying to find my place in it all. Ever found yourself in a crowded room, not sure whether to come out, or simply sip your drink in the corner and hope that someone talks to you? Sometimes that’s what I feel like when using Twitter.
Last week I purchased a new iPod, the iPod Touch and it has to be one of the coolest gadgets around. I was in the market for a new mp3 player and as I was researching different brands, I immediately fell for Apples iPod Touch. It was love at first sight!
Not only is it the sharpest looking mp3 player I have ever seen with it’s cool touch screen, but it does so much more than I ever thought an mp3 player could possibly do. To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure it is an mp3 player.
I get asked quite often from newer VA’s the question “laptop or desktop?” If you asked me that question when I first began my business 10 years ago, I would have proudly stated I was a desktop chick! Mind you back then, laptops were not as cost effective as they are now. I did in fact buy my first laptop 8 years ago for the low, low price of $3500.00. I bought it simply due to my travel schedule and quite honestly I used it maybe twice. I found it absolutely slow, quite heavy to carry and hooking up the internet was an absolute nightmare. It was probably the worst investment I have ever made…let’s just chalk it up to an “impulse buy” gone bad. So, of course I went back to “old faithful” my desktop PC with a renewed loyalty that nothing would come between us again 
Well years went by and I remained true to my desktop, until my life took a dramatic turn in 2005 when I became pregnant with my daughter. If you read my post last week Don’t sweat the small stuff!! you’ll understand why I had to make the switch from Desktop to Laptop.
