I never thought I would be reminded of a life lesson by a fairy, but it happen!
My three year daughter is hooked on the movie TinkerBell, she absolutely loves that little fairy and all her cute little fairy friends. I on the other hand after having watched the movie 30 or 40 times, have almost had enough. If you noticed I said “almost” had enough.

I’ve been working on my full-day Multi-VA workshop which I will be presenting at the Forum on Virtual Assistance on June 4th (If you haven’t yet signed up for the conference, get to it, it’s awesome!). I’ve been piecing together all of the topics that I find to be the most challenging for the Multi-VA Owner.
One of the topics on my list is delegating and learning how to let go. This can be huge challenge for some Multi-VA owners, especially those who are just beginning to transitioning into this business model. Although a topic I’ll be covering specific to Multi-VA owners at the workshop, this topic is one that can resonate with many regardless of what profession you are in.

As a Multi-VA owner, I’m blessed and very fortunate to have a fantastic team of Associate VA’s. Team building is essential in any Multi-VA business, yet it’s not the easiest to do…trust me! I know, I’ve been there done that and sometimes I’m surprised I made it through. Not because my team members were difficult or anything of the sort, but in the early stages of my Multi-VA business I underestimated the time, energy and focus needed to build a team.

I have to say 2009 is turning into a really exciting year for the VA industry. There is so much going on it’s hard to keep up with it all. For those of you who may not know, take a gander at www.vacertified.com.
The first VA certification of its kind, coordinated at a global level. It’s a unique certification in the sense that it speaks to not only work experience, but education/training and the contributions the VA has made to the VA industry (which I love). I was honoured to be asked to be a part of the board as a Sr. Industry Advisor and I have to say, there is no other VA certification out there that is as comprehensive as this one. It’s a VA certification that doesn’t look at simply just one aspect, but the whole package…in other words the whole YOU! I really recommend you take a look at it!

How many of you have thought about what you would do if you won the lottery? If all of a sudden you hit a win fall and had millions of dollars at your disposal. Just recently we had a huge lottery, a 45 million dollar lottery. I’m not a lottery player at all, but the thought of 45 million dollars, I’m afraid was too tempting to resist. I bought my $10.00 ticket stuck it on the fridge with a magnet and each time I walked past it…I would ask myself “what would you really do if you won that?”
Hmm…so what would you do?

I’m a true believer in taking care of one’s self. For the most part I think I do this fairly well, yet there is one area that I know I need improvement.
For those of you who know me and know me well, know that I hate exercising. I get it; I should just suck it up and do it. “Suck it up, Buttercup!”
I wish I could however exercising to me is like watching paint dry. BORING! I’ve tried every type of medium to exercise. I’ve gone to the gym -boring. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on equipment that looked fun at first, and then when I got it home – boring. I even bought a TV so I’d have something interesting to watch while I worked out and as you can guess, that got boring too!
