I’m going to keep it short and sweet this week and take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy holidays. I came across this little piece of writing and loved the message. I wanted to share it with all of you.
Here we are again, can you believe it, Christmas is only 17 days away. Where on earth did the year go? I have to admit, I’m a little “ill prepared” for the festivities. Normally I can start preparing for Christmas in October and at this point am pretty much done with the shopping, the crowds and yes, even the wrapping. Not this year, Christmas seemed to creep up on me and all of a sudden jump out from behind the closet and yell “Boo, here I am!”
How many of you really thought about how powerful words can be? I know, not something you would sit around and ponder, but I guess I’m the weirdo that does.
I have to say I am an absolute freak when it comes to clutter and with a three year old, you can imagine how difficult this is for me. I’m one of those people who love space and hate the thought of filling that space with unnecessary clutter. I would be happy with a TV, a comfy couch and nothing but open spaces.
I find it funny how people react to birthdays. Mine is coming up this week Friday the 13th(of all dates) and quite honestly it doesn’t bother me one bit. Yes, I’m one year older and no I’m not one of those individuals who stopped counting at 29. I’m fine with letting everyone know that I’m turning 37…a few steps from 40. And trust me my family members are quite vigil about reminding me of this.
“Oh boy, a few more years and you’ll be the BIG 4-0.”
As an instructor at Red Deer College, I come across some fantastic reading material. There are a number of great books out there specifically for the Virtual Assistant and those individuals who work from home. I thought I would share a few of these awesome books with you today.
