I did it, I did it, I did it!!! I am finished. I swear I can hear the angels singing. I know right now you’re asking yourself “What exactly did this nut finish?” Well after two years, my third book is finally complete.
I put the finishing touches on the content yesterday (and the reason why I did not post to my blog last week). I have to say I am absolutely thrilled, it has been a long process but I am extremely proud of that accomplishment.
I am sure you know exactly what I am feeling right now. We’ve all had those moments of pure elation over something we’ve done, a task that we took on that initially was like climbing Mount Everest. Something that seemed so far away and out of touch, that when you reach the peak, you are in utter disbelief, that’s how I feel right at this moment.
Yet, let me be clear, I had a very similar feeling just last week as well. My blog was broken and I fixed it. Okay so it may not be as grand or on the same wave length as the whole “Mount Everest” thing, but let me tell you, the feeling of accomplishment was just as bright.
I celebrated that accomplishment by giving myself a pat on the back and taking a couple of hours off work, just to sit and relax. Basically do nothing. So, it’s not a huge celebration with confetti, a marching band and a huge ‘all you can eat’ buffet, but it’s a celebration of my own kind.
All accomplishments, whether big or small should be celebrated in some way, don’t you agree? I mean when you have that feeling of achievement don’t you think that’s cause to give yourself a little, somethin’ somethin’? Boy, I do!
It’s a real recognition of your hard work, problem solving, decision making or whatever it may be. Celebrating an accomplishment is just the right thing to do for yourself. You deserve it!
So…when was the last accomplishment you celebrated? What did you do?
Oh and for those of you who may be wondering…the whole “finished book” thing…I am totally celebrating it….know where I can find a marching band?

Michelle, you are amazing! You set a goal and then achieve it – you make it look very simple.
I am familiar with the topics in your new book, but what is the title? I’m looking forward to purchasing a copy and then having you autograph it. Please plan a trip to Alberta – a book signing tour.

Congratulations Michelle! I’m excited for you. I know how much of a “bear” the book was and you did it, you did it, you did it!

Hi Michelle
Congratulations on completing your book. There is no doubt in my mind that what you have set out to do you will achieve. You are a great inspiration and a true, giving person.
