I believe wholeheartedly in continued learning.  Not only from the professional standpoint, as a VA who needs to stay on top of the latest and greatest, but also from a personal standpoint, an inquisitive personality who needs to know everything…about everything.

Unfortunately, time does not always agree with me and the days of sitting in a classroom are over for me.   I know, I know, there are plenty of teleclasses and virtual classrooms available, yes if I can make the space on certain days and times.

However what if you could learn by your schedule completely.  A friend of mine and fellow VA, Pam Ivey recommended a resource and I had to spread the word.

Lynda.com is a fantastic alternative for those individuals like me, who love to learn new things but are a little short on time. The website is an online library for software training with over 29,000 Quicktime videos on over 400 different software titles.   Software titles such as Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Blogging, SEO, Podcasting, MS Office applications and the list goes on and on and on.

The cost is very reasonable at $25.00/mth which gives you unlimited access to their vast library of training videos.  Of course for me, best thing with Lynda.com is the ability to view any number of their titles 24 hours, 7 days a week.  So if I feel the urge, I could start my Dreamweaver training 5:00am before my work day begins.  (Ok, I love learning, maybe not enough to get up at 5:00am but my point is IF I wanted to I could.)

I think it’s a fabulous website and makes my list of “right on” resources!

I encourage you to check it out!
