I never thought I would be reminded of a life lesson by a fairy, but it happen!

My three year daughter is hooked on the movie TinkerBell, she absolutely loves that little fairy and all her cute little fairy friends.  I on the other hand after having watched the movie 30 or 40 times, have almost had enough.   If you noticed I said “almost” had enough.

Although the movie is on continuous play in our household I still find myself watching it every now and then.  It’s a cute little story about a fairy that must find her way.  The movie surrounds the theme of talent, where some fairies are born to be garden fairies, water fairies, sun fairies and tinker fairies.  The Tinker fairies have the least glamorous job as they build the pots and baskets for all the other talent fairies to use to take to the main land to turn the seasons.   In Pixie Hollow, it’s believed that our talent actually chooses us, as it did with TinkerBell (f you havent’ yet guessed by her name, she’s one of the less glamorous tinker fairies).   Not being thrilled with the fact that she is a tinker fairy, TinkerBell sets off to change her talent, which as you might guess doesn’t quite work well for her.

After a few attempts at trying to learn her friends talents, ending in some disastrous results Tinker Bell uses her true talent “tinkering” to save the changing of the seasons.

So where am I going with this?

Well believe it or not, I learned a little something from our friend TinkerBell. Maybe not so much learned, but was “reminded”.

Be happy with who you are!  We each have our “rare” talents, talents that choose us.

They may be different, maybe not as creative or attention grabbing, but they are just as special and unique…because they make up the person who we are!    Be proud of it.

A cute story with a good reminder!  One of those feel good moments, I wanted to share with you!
